FAQs

Why during Holy Week?

Living a retreat during Holy Week gives the participants a new look at the richness of the liturgy and the chance to live Jesus’ last days with other students. They are able to be with Him at the Last Supper, walk with him up to Calvary and witness the Resurrection.

What can I expect?
Each day there is time for talks, small group sharing, dynamics, games, Mass, prayers, skits, free time, and mealtime.
Can I come late or leave early?
As Easter High is formed around the progression of the Paschal Mystery the retreat also has a progression which makes it difficult for students to enter late and leave early. Therefore, we require that every student is present throughout the entire retreat.
What if I am not Catholic?
Easter High has been a retreat that has helped non-Catholics grow in their personal relationship with Christ.
What if I don’t live in the DC Area?

Spots are reserved first for participants who go through Easter High as an entry door into the Cenaculo Program which is held in DC. It is not an isolated retreat for all High School students; therefore, spots will first be filled by students from DC and later will be opened up for student from other locations.

Are scholarships available?

Scholarships are available upon request: cenaculo@stanndc.org

If I went last year is it going to just be the same?
The retreat will hold various aspects that are the same every year due to the Liturgy of Holy Week, however dynamics, talks and other moments change each year. Student who have attend multiple Easter High’s have always grow in new and different ways in their faith than the previous years.
What follows Easter High?
As Easter High is a doorway entry into the Cenaculo Program all students who attend are invited to join the program beginning the Thursday after Easter Sunday!
